"Importance" you'll realize they are just a gang like anyone else if you're a victim of crime.

Your house got burgled? Car stolen? Robbed at knife/gunpoint? They will give you a reference number and that's about it.

A gang that is needed. Mafia is similar. Organised crime is better than disorganised street crime. Streets are cleaner, businesses are more stable.

You'd rather pay protection money (taxes) than have to deal with some guy pointing a gun at you on the street.

But who benefits? That's the key difference, ticketing people for speeding violations benefits women & old people that lack the hand-eye coordination of young men.

Police take rapes of women very seriously & dedicate a bunch of resources to it but they don't give af if a man is raped, evident by the huge discrepancy of men reporting sexual assaults compared to foids. They are not necessary for a fighting-age male. I would much rather govern my community with me & the homies instead of some big state bully-victims with a revenge fantasy.
