Vinland Saga got one thing right, Askellad wasnt diminshed by the fact that he was born to a slave women, as spiritual superiority is dictated primarily patrilineally. Thus he could claim the title of "heir to King Arthur". Y haplogroup is extremely stable for this reason, as birthright passes on from son to son. Like my Mom could have been aboriginal or a mutt or a slave woman and Id have still come out good looking.
