I wasn’t talking about programming bro.
Programming is part of STEM.

It’s unlikely they will be replaced by AI

Chit ill hop onto the stem train soon

The majority of stem jobs will also get replaced by AI. How will a software engineer code monkey be able to compete with a computer?

Design is way too specific to be replaced by AI, the majority of stem jobs aren’t going anywhere man.

Low level coding can be replaced, but experienced software devs do tasks like writing global trading platforms & interfaces.

AI is nowhere near that, there’s also hardware languages used for machine learning, the demand for software engineers is just going to increase.

And finally there will always be a human element in STEM because it’s designed for people to use. Someone has to make sure it meets regulations

Manual labor won't be replaced. Software automation is progressing quicker than robotics

So are most jobs by that generalised logic
If the job involves a small margin of error & a lot of unpredictable inputs it’s not likely.

Anything where there’s a lot of complex requirements of different individual clients probably isn’t going to be replaced.

Not just because AI isn’t anywhere near that at the moment but also ethical issues like people won’t accept a robot representing them in court or designing a bridge or performing surgery on them etc.

It really depends on the job, McDonald’s workers could be replaced today but a chef in a sit-in restaurant will probably never go.

Manual labour is already replaced, the only reason most tradies have a job is because it’s not cost effective to use a pipe laying robot when u can just pay a plumber to do it

Too much cope. AI will likely replace most entry level programming positions long before many physical jobs like building construction or plumbing for example. Best to get a job knowing how to fix robots or some shit.

It’s good but it’s still very much developing

Entry level programming is not the same as software engineering or electronic design though
