Being alone and loneliness are two different things. Women are always lonely if not in company of other people, they can't stand the thought, because in the wilderness they can't survive alone.
Man on the other hand doesn't know loneliness, even when he is alone for extended periods, because he can fend for himself just fine. That's why all loners are men, and women will even get friends they absolutely loathe and hate in order to not just be lonely.
That's also why women are less confrontational, whereas men can be blunt or rude. It's a survival mechanism as in the prehistoric age being expelled by the tribe would've meant near certain death for the woman. Men had far better chances to find another tribe or take over the existing one.
