both of you are struggling mentally
poor mental health on both sides
both of you desperately needed each other physically but were separated by hundreds of miles
extremely touch deprived
no hugs
no cuddling
no holding each other after crying
no wiping each other’s tears away
no being able to say “i’m coming over” when things got bad
every breakdown happened through a screen
every “i miss you” ended with having to say goodbye again
wanting to hold each other but never being able to
trying to keep each other alive from thousands of miles away
feeling helpless every time one of you was hurting
watching someone you love suffer while knowing you can’t physically be there for them
having to hope your words through a phone were enough when all they probably needed was someone to sit beside them
