there's something much bigger happening. america is moving from gold to bitcoin. either america understands future tech better than anyone and is making the right move (an algorithm, if incorruptible, is superior to gold which is constantly changing supply, being faked, lost, used in other things rather than being stored, etc), or they're setting america up for a fall in the future while china/russia gobbles up all the gold. i'm leaning towards the latter because it's always people linked to Chabad pushing bitcoin now, and jews of course believe they should own all the gold in the world to come. regardless, bitcoin is going to go way up before that ever happens.
