Is there anything I could do to fix this? Besides surgical intervention 
, will braces make it visually shorter since I have a slight overbite and open bite? and do night guards make these things worse? I don't trust my dentist especially since she said breathing with your lips open is fine cause I told her the nightguard made me unable to close my mouth unless I strained my chin.
