0.95 - 0.97 mid face is the ideal mid face ratio if you have good facial width and facial thirds.
As it is masculine and with good facial thirds it doesn’t make your midface look long, and adds some extra skull height.

If you don’t the standard 1:1 is the best.
For men ,


And yeah your right for a women always 1:1 - 1.15 looks best.
0.95 and below is a death sentence almost always for a women.
