Overly long anything except dick is a falio doesn’t change the fact ideal philtrum is slightly longer than average

What are your planned movements?
Last time I spoke to my surgeon he said that I will "hopefully" get 5mm advancement
Still have several months of ortho work to go through

that's honestly not a lot. enough to get your teeth aligned and that's it. most people with underbites caused by skeletal deformities like a retruded maxilla have bone that is centimeters from the ideal. your teeth position is already adapting as best as it can despite the retruded maxilla, you'll need 1cm of forward movement at least with counter clockwise rotation plus impaction. then the overbite can be adjusted by moving the upper teeth back to meet the lower.

I recall a guy who used to post here had an underbite and his face improved dramatically with 5mm lefort
I would ideally get as much advancement as possible but wouldn't it run the risk of chimplip?
why do you think impaction is necessary, it shortens midface right but since I don't have a gummy smile wouldn't it just mean that my teeth are less visible when smiling afterwards?
