I have a really long philtrum, how much would it cost to fix it and is it really a big flaw if you have it which is the flaw i have in my face.

i have none of these but i do have bimaxillary protusion at 16, im planning to do premolar extraction asides with braces or set aside the premolars extraction and do braces only which one is the better option?

Neither, you need some form of expansion the jaws need to come forward to the protusion.

The best option is to ask you’re orthodontist why they haven’t told you all the routes and treatments, fuck them they are also doing this plan through guessing for you’re future since I know they didn’t evaluate the airway or joints with a cbct.

MARPE and Reverse head gear potentially, I don’t know what class malocclusion but don’t camouflage.

At your age reverse head gear and marpe could be an option for success but usually leads to sugary

If your philtrum is long due to thin lips then a lip lift is the easiest solution. However, this is only if your lips aren’t full. If you already have big lips then you’ll look like a total botched faggot with a lip lift.

Chin height also matters. If the philtrum measured from columella to uppermost point of your Cupid’s bow is less than like 17cm then you might need genio because your chin is probably giving the illusion of a long philtrum. You’ll know your chin is short if it’s around 30mm or less measured from bottom of lower lip to bottom of chin.

Nose shape matters too, as an upturned, vertically short nose with visible nostrils will give the illusion of a long philtrum, so rhinoplasty could help. Of course this is only true if your measurements are normal (13-17mm philtrum and 35-40mm chin).

If you don’t wanna get surgery then it’s super easy to hide a long philtrum with a mustache/beard. Since you’re young you probably can’t grow one yet naturally, though, so I’d suggest trying minoxidil or something similar.

But long philtrum is kinda an overrated flaw on here. If your chin to philtrum ratio is around 1.9+ and your philtrum isn’t like 22mm, then you can get away with it and no one will notice besides other autists. It’s really only a major flaw on women.
