Thats what gpt told me:

Mental & Cognitive Consequences

  1. Addiction & Withdrawal – Long-term use can lead to physical dependence, making withdrawal symptoms (fatigue, depression, irritability) severe.
  2. Cognitive Impairment – Prolonged use may harm memory, attention, and executive functioning over time.
  3. Mood Disorders – Increased risk of anxiety, depression, aggression, and paranoia.
  4. Psychosis – In some cases, high doses can cause hallucinations and delusions, similar to schizophrenia.

Social & Behavioral Consequences

  1. Increased Risk-Taking Behavior – Users may engage in reckless activities due to increased impulsivity.
  2. Strained Relationships – Mood swings and behavioral changes can negatively impact social and family life.
  3. Legal & Academic Issues – Misuse, especially without a prescription, can lead to legal trouble and academic dishonesty concerns.

what exactly did u experience
as someone with adhd who got pushed on a "solution" it was an amphetamine induced psychosis state. low to no free flowing dopamine. complete fluctuation in circadian rhythm (sleeping during the day, up at night), terrible diet to begin with + nicotine for ultimate appetite suppression (you will eat 1-2 meals a day of straight goyslop and have to cope with it). using weed everyday to mitigate the affects of the awful comedown depression. after a few months you will start to experience anhedonia and no longer be able to do things you once thrived in. very weird/odd thoughts that had no distinct origin "schizo" type thinking. dont get me wrong adderall works wonders especially if ur on the spectrum but with a little research on reddit or some ai you'll soon learn the tradeoff is 10x fold against u. not to mention there is no secret formula to studying and getting through college bc of an amphetamine, it just coincidentally gives u more "motivation" that you then have to consciously direct towards useful education or insight. I have both 15 mg ir and xr and depending on the day would take one, or both. keep in mind this is in the span of 4-6 months and I have never in my other 18 years of life experienced such a low like this. I can confidently say my time using 0 substances had a higher resonating state then relying on such a pushed addictive drug, even if it that meant i was not able to concentrate or focus on school. funny enough I am still recovering with various lifestyle changes (cold turkey) + diet, sleep, exercise and some additional help from nootropics/peptides to reuptake my dopamine to baseline which Ill make a thread on later. dont do it and if u do it anyway atleast use that focused state to research about how adderall actually works, stuff doesnt get coined "baby meth" as a joke.

Yea i had to do an adhd test with a neuropsychologist
i was talking to my therapist about unrelated issues and after 3-4 visits she "diagnosed" me with inattentive adhd and after 1 visit with a psychiatrists assistant i got access to unlimited vyvanse / adderall. no test, no look into the past, nothing. Straight up capitalism. Brutal :feelsrope:

Holy fuck
I don’t want to take too much time to write it all out
But if you finally quit due to issues with it, it’s months and months of depression and lack of focus as you recover
I’m quitting from 10mo use, 4wk in I’m semi recovered but need 4-8 more weeks to be more optimized
