Long term Minoxidil use

A private hair transplant doctor said to me that he does not recommend the use of minoxidil long term. He based this on the motive that your body becomes accustomed to the minoxidil usage, and you will have to up the usage more and more until it is completely ineffective.

I have never heard of this, or seen any studies backing up this statement?
I would love if any of you guys have any info on this

well any hair that grows with the use of minoxidil will fall out when you stop, thats the truth summed up
