FYI: THIS IS A GENUINE PSYCHOLOGY BOOK THAT PAVED THE WAY WE UNDERSTAND PSYCHOPATHS, NOT SOME DARK TRIAD "48 LAWS OF POWER" BULLSHIT NONSENSE.
The person in question was a diagnosed Psychopath, this was around post WWII.
The psychiatrist [author of book] who diagnosed him is very well known, and is known to call old friends and family of the people who've interacted with his patients over the years, to paint a personality of them.

Apperently, he kept being able to do this over and over, from age 20 to age 50.
The psychiatrist describes him as of went to a 'well known' university [back then, only richer kind of affluent people went to uni, nevermind known ones]
He was apparently very surgically skilled at convincing his friends to lend him their work, then patching them together with his own themes and essay drafts. This + cheating on examinations lead him to stay in university well.
Assume high mtn, groomed, semi prestige background.

"His real interests during this period consisted in decking himself with fine clothes in which to saunter about, in presiding at social gatherings, and in flimsy but pretentious lovemaking with a large number of prominent young ladies. In the eyes of these and of their mothers he passed as a dashing beau, almost as an arbiter elegantiarum. Among his fraternity brothers he was regarded with mixed feelings. Though better supplied with funds than most of his associates, he did not pay his dues and seldom his board at the fraternity house where he occupied the choice quarters. These shortcomings, however, were tolerated, it not entirely overlooked, because of the urbanity he lent to house parties, his impassioned speeches on the sacred mysteries of brotherhood, his eloquence and skill in inducing desirable freshmen to join his group, and the general air of jeunesse dork which encompassed him."

TL;DR: He didn't do what was expected of him, yet his frat bros tolerated his aloofness because he was extremely good at convincing promising freshmen to join the fraternity.
He had an air around him that made people want him to like them, and therefore they went along with him as they didn't want to disappoint them.

^ MUST READ

He was a master in finding rich women, sometimes younger than him, usually older than him, and activating their maternal instincts in a way where they take care of him. comfort him, and completely spoil him, sometimes to the point of bankruptcy. He does this for a few years, then changes woman. He almost always cheats on them.

This was in the 1910's-1940's, where there were far less rich people.
Imagine how this guy would fair in the modern world.

FYI, He was a complete psychopath, which I guess is where his ability to get people to do what he wants comes from. Apparently the maternal comfort and sex from the woman was only a byproduct of the manipulation, and he didn't really care for it, and much preferred the money and gifts.

I am not advocating to calling some rich foid you have barely spoken to, crying and begging them to give you money so you can buy drugs and end yourself, and also telling them they're the only thing stopping you from killing yourself to activate their maternal instincts.
But after sharing the chapter of the book talking about this guy to a hHTN friend, he tried it on a foid and the results were extremely similar to the book.

FYI: HTN/Lite barrier of entry + sociable. This won't work if ur some mtn autist :ROFLMAO:

Obviously, being a psychopath is death tier, and you shouldn't try and become a psychopath. Dark triad is gay, being a NT normie is IDEAL.

But, this is very interesting.
