Of course this is an extreme case, but u should never impact if you can avoid it.

It can cause midface sagging and soft tissue creasing etc

Sfs cases are more straightforward and require downgrafting, as well as posses room for some cw rotation, all of these ascend the front profile by a lot instead of just the side which is what most bimax cases tend to do

upturn pig nose is a result from too much upper jaw movement nothing to do with the impaction.
nostril flaring is just another word for alar base widening which is pretty common from lefort incisions
skin sags from too much, sure over impaction is legit aging you in dog years
increased nasiolabal folds happen from over rotation yeah another way to age you

dont get over impacted/overrotated and get a reasonable amount of upper jaw movement depending on how much impaction

I disagree the reason is because in this case impaction within the FHP caused the ANS to now be positioned higher than the PNS so now the maxillary plane is at a "CCW slant" if that makes sense. This will cause pig upturn. In fact this was done with CW rotation not with CCW

No additional movements to the maxilla were done I think based off the IG post

if you get overrotated u probably will need cw+paranasals

It's case specific unless it was a complete botch I don't think revision is worth it you should just get rhino to fix it or look into certain implants - paranasal not really fixing the problem if the pivot point for CCW was the ANS (so it's still kinda in it's original position) since it's for the nostril base deficiency

this is obv a EXTREME CHERRY PICK CASE. obv no one should get close to 11,5mm impaction. ive seen cases with 5-6mm impaction which looked bad before in terms of smile aesthetics. im curious how the patients smile looked before
