"Not everyone is interested in sexual relationships. Some people are asexual and just don’t find an appeal in that. Furthermore, not everyone wants to be in a relationship. That requires time, commitment, willingness, etc. If someone is not willing to give that, and doesn’t want to anyways, it’d be a horrible thing to try to force them into a relationship doomed to failure from the start.
Last time I checked, dying as a non-romantic virgin isn’t necessarily something you should be ashamed of. If you live your life as a kind, contributing member of society, who cares?
Also, if you think that your relationship status is the only thing that a person can be proud of, I feel like you have extremely messed up priorities in life. A parent should be proud of their child if they grow up to be productive, empathetic, and a good person in general. Their love life shouldn’t be a factor unless they’re going around and having affairs, breaking peoples’ hearts on purpose, using love as a power play, etc."
