Look good when you're about to shoot a photo but it comes out bad?

I don't get this at all. I go to mirror and try to take mirror selfies, and move around and look so good, got good angle and look mogger then hit the shutter button and holy shit, I look so bad and orge.

How does that make any sense? Why tf did I look so good before shooting the photo? Even when I'm standing still preparing for the shoot, I look great, but as soon as it outputs an image from shutter, it's insanely bad.
