You don't know how it's like in west probably. I would never go to live in west unless i am forced to. I have more joy and freedom here rather than some ((modern)) country

depends on your budget, if you have top tier budget : moscow, st petersburg, not really EEA but budapest

for less, warsaw or krakow, kiev,lviv, belgrade,prague

for less bucuresti,sofia is doable

but if you want to live like a king in lesser options that makes sense too.

personally i would choose the one that has relatively easier language to speak, because you wont be a tourist and have to learn the language to live properly. therefore i would suggest st petersburg since moscow is really expensive and russian is probably easier and will allow you to pretty much understand and interact eith other slavic country's people.
