Lookism is as bad as racism

Realising now how i was unconsciously judging people based on looks in the past. The meme about popularity/reputation in school being based on attractiveness is not a meme, its reality.

When you see three nerdy ugly guys hanging out, you assume they are low status and have no friends outside of their group because they cant.

When you see three attractive guys hanging out, you assume they are high status/desirable and they choose to not hang out with outsiders.

In the same way, you would judge a black guy as a thug and a asian guy as a mathematician. Lookism is similar to racism.

Racism is overhyped af (doesnt even make the top 3 ‘“isms” list imo) and lookism in underrated af.

Is it crazy to say that nowadays lookism is even worse than racism because back in the day racism was 100x worse but now when the world started mixing more, looks started being a bigger thing to get frowned upon so like racism isn't even that big of a problem compared to lookism

i agree with you but i personally havent experienced racism enough to see both sides
