I think another reason as to why they're irrelevant at this point, is that they became a mess in 2019. I used to lurk .net for most of 2019, up until the site went offline during the summer of that year, which was also the reason I started to lurk here instead.

Apparently, some mod over there also abused his powers a few months later, when the site was online again, and that let to even more users migrating to .me.
