Luck is everything
We don’t know why luck exists or why some people get “lucky” and other don’t, we know how genes are passed down, we don’t know why those specific genes are picked in the gene lottery but for some cases we know the relative chance of it happening, but again why did those genes get picked?
this goes outside genes, why were you born in the netherlands? why were you born in india? those questions also have answers but why are those answers reality? what made your parents birth you there? you have no control over these outcomes and it is purely luck from your point of view. explanations are not needed to define luck or to reason that you cannot control these things that are simply LUCK.
your childhood being good or bad, your parents divorcing or staying together, events that shape how you are currently, even how you use your free will and consciousness (some people don’t even believe this exists, my theory remains the same).no matter how these events played out, even if you made a conscious decision (that was controllable by YOU), the fact the decision was made instead of not being made was a form of luck itself. you might think “well you chose to make that decision” well you also had the chance to make a bunch of other decisions at that same time and you chose THAT ONE, as you have free will after all, even if you dont think you do, you are just saying everything was predetermined, which is the purest form of luck i could think of.
even if you’re religious, (for reference i am catholic and in writing this i haven’t gone against any of my catholic beliefs and i’ve been pretty unbiased and open minded) and believe there is some holy reason things happen, in the end, someone was just born in the netherlands as a white HTN and some random indian was born in india as a sub-5 manlet.
even if luck is controlled by gods plan, it still is uncontrollable by everything else in the universe, and thus the situation remains the exact same. maybe this random event or thing that happened to us was a part of gods plan which transcends beyond our understanding and cannot be defined by luck, but even then, the fact that certain thing happened and was a part of gods plan is luck and for religioncels you could say this is “divine mystery”
we don’t know why things happen but they do happen and we can chose to think we have no control over them but even if we do, things still happen and there is always luck for everything that happens. whether we have the technology to analyze the probability of said luck or not, luck is everything.
