he’s right to an extent but 50% is an absolute joke. You need to meet the looks requirement, which rises everyday due to hypergamy, men being cucks and social media/tinder.

Well maybe i exaggerated a bit to prove a point, i have seen some couples where no matter what i'd do, i wouldn't get the woman.
But for the regular 3 to 5psl girls, you don't have to look like a model to LTR them.
1 point higher than her is enough if you have other good qualities.
