Let me explicate several domains of techniques for looksmaxxing. For the sake of lookstheory. To be specific I will discuss only techniques meant to looksmax your face (thus ruling out cologne, voicemaxxing, etc...)

1. Surgery
e.g. osteotomies, facial appliances
2. Blood levels of substance (roids, supplements, diet, etc...)
e.g.
3. Therapeutic techniques
e.g. mewing, bonesmashing, gym)]
4. Frauds
e.g. fake tan, colored contacts, makeup

let me further develop the idea in OP.

Looksmaxxing is all about change at the tissue level: bone tissue, adipose tissue, epithelial, etc...

The techniques can then be classified as follows:
1. Surgery: Surgery is a procedure that causes immediate tissue change.

2. Blood levels: Your blood levels change tissue from the inside over a long period of time.

3. Therapeutic techniques: These change tissue from the outside over a long period of time.

4. Frauds: Frauds change tissue temporarily. (debloating could be considered a fraud)

the distinction lies in how said alteration is done, it's just an injection , there's no cutting and shit , said "alteration" is temporary, non invasive there's no recovery etc it doenst qualify as surgery
