I'd argue this is one of the most commonly shared traits among guys who ended up developing an obsession with looks to the point they watch PSL God edits, etc. It's something I've realized about myself anyway.



When you watch videos like this as a guy that has been dealing with a complete lack of love and affection for extended periods of time, it's only logical to arrive at the conclusion that improving your looks is the most effective course of action to mitigate your problem - the most surefire way to receive the affection that you've been starved off for so long is to enter a room and have people give it to you just on the basis of looks, and obsessing over every last detail about your appearance is a way to make sure that nothing would come in the way of that happening.

To outsiders it probably all seems like a narcy circle jerk. But when one digs deeper, they'll realize that it usually takes a deeply hurt individual to arrive at this point.
