Roids, surgery, implants, injections... These are the most popular and advocated for interventions in this forum. But I feel like for most people the only good use these things have is coping. The reality is that before you can get surgery or implants or whatever other thing you think you need you are gonna have to wait for years. Getting the money, booking, scheduling and recovery, and that's assuming things don't go wrong.

If you feel like you need any of these procedures done you probably think you are ugly or aren't having much success in your social life. Knowing that these procedures exist keeps you going though, because while you think your life sucks now, since these things exist you believe that's it's only a matter of time before you'll be able to live a fulfilling life. This is called delusion. You are denying your current reality and attaching value to a future image of yourself that you have highly idealized.

The problem with this mindset which I think is common to 99% of the users of this forum is that it is inevitable that your present efforts will decrease. Everything you do will seem worthless in comparison to the expectations you have for your future procedures. You won't try as hard because in the back of your mind there will always the the thought that one day everything will be corrected by those interventions.

If these procedures did not exist you would try 200% harder than you are right now. That is an undeniable truth. But reality isn't much different. You think that these interventions are gonna fix your problems but they are not. They are just slowing you down and making you lazier.

Roids, surgery, implants, injections are perfect excuses - it's the "ill just do it tomorrow" mentality
I definitely suffer from this, I feel bad for all my bookmarked threads ill never attempt
