Loosing wieght

Im 14, 5’11 and I want to lose weight but I don’t know how, should I start jogging? I do have some dumbbells and a bench I can use but thats about it. Also I want to start a calorie deficit but don’t know how because I have to eat what my parents cook. So if anyone could recommend anything helpful I would appreciate it.
