So I was scrolling pubmed in class like the ND i am and came across this study (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4426054/) I will get into the sciency nerd shit but the TL;DR for the retarded dnr niggas is Losartan was shown to increase bonemass in rats, sides are reduced blood pressure so fainting and light headedness.
ALL ONLY IN OPEN GROWTH PLATES THIS WILL NOT GROW YOUR 5'4 MANLET 30YR OLD BODY!!!!!
So losartan is a treatment for high blod pressure and kidney issues by blocking the Angiotensin II receptor. Losartan was shown to increase bonemass in this study (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4426054/). I then went and looked into it further and found this (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11554678/) so it does lower your serum igf-1 levels but alot of your circulating igf-1 is bound to shit and pratically useless in the scheme of bone growth. Then I found this study (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16430721/) so it does decrease serum igf-1 but increases free igf-1 by about the same amount. There is no published mechanism for the increased bone growth but I would theorise that it is due to the increase in free igf-1 but I am a grade 9 student who failed english sooo I wouldn't run to follow this guide but. Now onto the sides, the main sides is the lowered blood pressure so if your on roids or just eat a shit ton of goyslop this might be good for you but for normal people this lowered blood pressure will make you susceptible to fainting, light headedness and pale skin. This wasn't that in depth cause im not that smart

i'd reccomend buying a blood pressure monitor (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/wellcare-blood-pressure-monitor) exampke link but js wahtever theyre like 30 USD
The usual doses are 50mg ED but i'd say use as much as you can cause thats the dose they gave a rat but again i need to reiterate this IM FUCKING RETARDED HIGHSCHOOL STUDENT DONT KILL YOURSELF BY JUST TAKING THIS AS GOSPEL DO YOUR OWN FUCKING RESEARCH B4 YOU PUT SMTH IN YOUR BODY
If any smart people know why this is very wrong or ive js told people a detailed guide on roping please tell me

Might make a more in depth high iq post if i can be fucked but prolly not

so it increases free igf1 but decreases serum igf1 yet increases bonemass in a study different study in Marfan's syndrome
I read the study it literally says
Angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) are a group of anti-hypertensive drugs that are widely used to treat pediatric hypertension. Recent application of ARBs to treat diseases such as Marfan syndrome or Alport syndrome has shown positive outcomes in animal and human studies, suggesting a broader therapeutic potential for this class of drugs. Multiple studies have reported a benefit of ARBs on adult bone homeostasis; however, its effect on the growing skeleton in children is unknown

Results only showed increase in cortical thickness and trabecular bone volume in mice:
ild type mice were treated with Losartan from birth until 6 weeks of age, after which bones were collected for microCT and histomorphometric analyses. Losartan increased trabecular bone volume vs. tissue volume (a 98% increase) and cortical thickness (a 9% increase) in 6-weeks old wild type mice. The bone changes were attributed to decreased osteoclastogenesis as demonstrated by reduced osteoclast number per bone surface in vivo and suppressed osteoclast differentiation in vitro.

It decreases osteoclasts [the shit that absorbs bone during healing, so technically inhibiting it, bone resorption is avoided] yet this is about bone density, not the "bone mass" we all think off

aint good for height, and there is nothing special about downregulation of osteoclasts if thats what it does
