Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. Yes, there are the extreme fans that actually devote their existence to supporting a club/player(s).

However, if you just like watching sports, it's like enjoying anything else. Just don't become a sports cuck. Same with video games and other hobbies that aren't seen as productive.
