do you have any tips to help ?
Yes.

Cut your daily calories down by a ton.

If you want a quicker solution I recommend injecting retatrutide.

(Please like, and mark as a solution if this helped you thanks.)

starve on tomato juice, it doesn't have side effects + almost same as starving on water

dnp is the only way

Do you have to weigh in on the day or day before. From my experience in kickboxing it's always been day before but I have a feeling its probably day of for bjj... this massively effects it. If you're just happy to go get competition experience and not care too much about how you perform it's relatively easily. Just run with a sweatsuit, reduce carbs as much as possible 1 week out (they store water), drink an insane amount of water, like 6L+, reduce sodium intake to a minimum, Hot bath day before/morning of (like horrible to sit in level hot). If you're at a decent gym they should help you to cut the weight/other athletes should have some advice... how tall and lean you are already? poses some issue. You're glycogen stores are going to be mudded and you'll probably lose a fair bit of strength. Take a full meal with you to eat after weigh in and some electrolytes.

I imagine you're competing in Novice at whitebelt? If so, competing at your regular bodyweight is generally better, the people you're competing against will be bad. How do you compete against similar weight at the gym? If it was me at 6'1 youll likely still be taller than most people in your division if not the same size. Go in and compete against them at full strength. Get the competitive experience and spend more time burning the fat til the next one at lightweight. That way you can go in strong and beat everyone you compete against purely off length. although losing 12lbs of water weight should be relatively easy...your call. gl tho. lmk how you get on

You can fraud losing a few pounds by losing water weight (through sweating), like the dude above me mentioned. but if u want to truly lose 16 pounds in body fat, then DNP + GLP1 Agonist is gonna be your best bet. have to lyk that DNP has a few risks, but ive seen multiple anecdotal evidence of losing 1 lb per day; and 15 lbs in 2 weeks ect. you can pair T3 with it, but it isnt mandatory, only helps slightly.:ogre:

you can lose max c.2lbs a week of fat - usually more like 1lb - but water and glycogen loss means 2lbs is realistic, but it won't be fat.

also if laws weren't a thing, and you sound like a nice guy, but if laws weren't a thing, which they are, most people, like myself, would end you violently just for learning a martial art. if i'm a silverback, and some beta is trying to crack his knuckles too loudly, i would eat you. i'm not even a cannibal, it would disgust me, but just for the sake of it.
