Losing all face definition when talking

Does anyone else feel like they lose so much definition when talking? I feel like I look so ugly when I watch myself talk in the mirror. I feel like there is such a big difference from when my mouth is shut.

yes i get what you mean. I feel like I lose definition too. You can fix this by just controlling or limiting your movements by practicing in the mirror

its the bones, particularly the mandible and hyoid that are recessed, revealing their recessed state and ugly appearance when you open your mouth, even more so when there is active motion during speaking
