Bought near top. Many Nasdaq tech stocks, nvidia, roblox, amd etc.
Lost huge sum on an OMX listed stock when putin sperged out and invaded Ukraine. Woke up one day to see the owners selling all their shares, before I knew it the stock was down 90% lmao.
Bough in on a SPAC hoping to make a quick buck. Lost 50% quickly. Doubled down. Stock halved in value down below IPO price. Bought more to get lower average, stock lost another 50%. Bough more, stock went down to penny stock level. Toilet paper now.

Fuck. I made the same mistake when I first got into investing, but I bought crypto instead, and lost about 7k in a month. The mistake we both made is not knowing where we were in the cycle (buying the top) and also not knowing the macroeconomic picture. Now that investing has become mainstream (even see adverts about it on TV), people think they can get into it without any technical knowledge (charts, price movements, cycle theory) and also without any economic knowledge (interest rates, quantitative easing/tightening, fundamental analysis). People just go into it blind and lose everything. Hopefully you don't give up and start gaining knowledge now before you re-enter the market. After researching for months after my initial loss, I managed to 2x my money towards the end of last year (turned 2.5 into 5.5k, small amounts but I'm a poorcel). I sold everything and now I'm waiting to buy the bottom with my 5.5k.
