I think a lot of guys lose their gains over time, either because of injury, illness, or some other stressful life event that demands all of their energy and attention, which has made me realize that lifting is not just a cope, but a temporary one. If you're not blessed with a thicc mesomorphic frame, you're screwed.

I have maintained all my gains so far just doing bodyweight exercises and using dumbbells at home. Have you even tried to maintain?

Consistency is key, yes, but also muscle memory is very real. If you lose a bit of size/strength during quarantine it will be very easy (and quick) to bounce back and regain that once the gyms are open again

Absolutely. I've spent 6 months Natty working out really hard and quit TWICE now. It only takes me about a month and I'm back to hitting the same numbers I used to be hitting in terms of pushups, pullups, and dips again. I'm currently doing calisthenics as gyms are RIP.

Same thing happened to me over last December and January, OP. I lost about 6 kg's recovering from surgery and actually gained bf%. Huge factor in me turning in my natty card. I did start lifting again as soon as I could while I was getting everything to jooce set up, and the strength recovery was quite small, and the most I did in several weeks was lose the small amount of bf% I'd gained not lifting. I looked somewhat malnourished. Only the sheer amount of time I'd put into lifting let me keep even some semblance of strength and muscularity through recovery.
