Agreed. But I think wrestling is just way too overpowered. An average wrestler, can totally destroy an elite striker.

There needs to be some rules in place so that wrestlers don't get such a huge advantage.

If you look at UFC history, the people who go crazy undefeated streaks are always wrestlers, never strikers

That's why it's mixed martial arts. If you reverse the roles, you can say strikers have a huge advantage in early rounds because if they don't win in RD 1-2, then wrestlers can wear them down in later rounds. This was always the strategy in camps like khabib vs McGregor.

Strikers just need good defences. They don't have to win wrestlers it their own game, very few fighters are all rounders. There are 5 rounds to win, so even if they go down they should focus on getting back up rather than staying down - did you see Paulo Costa do this today? Looked dumb.

Leon had been practising his wrestling since losing his first fight with Usman and tonight we saw the result of all that practice. Probably would've said the same thing before the Burns fight, but after watching that Burns fight, I don't think so.

Usman is only 2 inchers shorter than Khamzat and won't be as easy to takedown. Shit, if Khamzat couldn't even takedown Burns, then there is no hope of him taking down Usman.

As for striking, They both have KO power, but Usman will be able to takedown and outgrapple Khamzat more at will, so i am leaning towards usman winning that fight
