A lot of you read the shit on black pill science Reddit and are convinced good looks are by and far the most important factor for getting laid. But that simply isn't true. The problem with black pill science is that they just cherry-pick shit or only show the abstract of the paper which doesn't get into the details of a paper.

For example, take this paper https://www.jstor.org/stable/3812964?seq=1. Reading the abstract you'd think looks are one of the most important contributors to getting laid. But it isn't. It turns out being low inhib is far more important than looks. In fact, looks ranked at the bottom for the long-term number of partners, however, it was important for the short-term number of partners in a single month.

Flaws with my argument: The study was in the 90s when social media and tinder didn't fuck everything up so. Also, attractiveness still correlates and low inhib doesn't matter if you're below 3.5 psl. Also, the study doesn't take race into account so if you're Asian the psl requirement for low inhib to work may be higher (like 4.5-5 psl were for whites its 3.5-4 psl)

The problem is that, looks are by far the most important thing in short term encounters, but they are less important in long term relationships. And their relative importance changes depending on many factors, its all so complicated that you can never say any trait is the most important in all situations.

However I think its accurate to say, when talking in general about sexual relationships, that looks are the most important factor, because they are a prerequisite, so you wouldnt even have a 1% chance without them, as well as a hugely significant factor after all prerequisites have been met, and they are the only factor which you could take singlehandedly and get a good idea of someones sexual market value
