HOW CAN I LOWER MY INHIBITIONS?
drugs.
Drugs are the most effective tool when it comes to lowering inhibitions. By leveraging drugs in a smart way, we can train our brain to think differently in social situations. Think of it as training wheels. With every drug there are drawbacks. There is no miracle substance. This short guide will explain the most effective low-inhib substances, list their pros and cons and give a guideline for safe use.
Please read the whole thread before deciding to use any of these substances. Keep in mind that any one of these can be addictive and could potentially ruin your life if you're not careful. If you're smart and can control yourself, they will only benefit your life.
GABAERGICS
GABAergics are the holy grail of low-inhib substances. Each one interacts with the GABA receptors in the brain, basically telling your brain to chill tf out. Warning: Stacking multiple of these substances at once can be dangerous. Tolerance stacks between these substances, excluding pregabalin to an extent.
PHENIBUT/B-PHENYL-AMINOBUYRIC ACID - Originally developed for and used by soviet astronauts to help with anxiety. Effects include lowered anxiety, increased sociability, increased music perception, and general euphoria. Primarily works on GABA-B receptors which makes it less disinhibiting. Can be somewhat sedative; however, in lower doses is described to have a stimulant-like quality. Often described as a weak GHB or like alcohol without the impaired neurological and bodily function. Do not use more than 1-2 times per week. Tolerance builds quickly.
ALCOHOL - The most widely used drug in this list. Extremely easily accessible, it is socially acceptable and relatively inexpensive. Increased sociability, euphoria. Can be incredibly disinhibiting and easy to overdo. Hangovers are the worst of any drug on this list, and it does the most harm to your brain and body out of any drug on the list. Still, a good option if you control yourself.
BENZODIAZEPINES - Benzos will completely nuke your anxiety. That said, they also tank your social skills, lead to memory loss, and can be your worst nightmare if overdone. These are really best for emergencies, as most will work within 30 minutes. These are probably the worst option out of all the gabaergics.
PREGABALIN - Pregabalin works differently than any other GABAergic. Through mechanisms not fully understood, it modulates the brain's calcium channels in a way that is optimal for anxiety reduction. Phenibut does this too, to a much lesser extent, though it also acts on GABA-B receptors, which pregabalin does not. Pregabalin feels the least like being high out of any drug on the list. You can take this a few times a week.
BACLOFEN - Basically is Phenibut without the calcium channel effects. A very clean drug, meaning it mainly only acts on GABA-B receptors.
GAMMA-HYDROXYBUTEROL - GHB is probably the hardest drug on this list. It is extremely effective and basically nukes your autism. However, it can be very dangerous as dosing can be very fickle. Also, it can be incredibly dangerous when combined with other drugs. That said, pound-for-pound, if done right, it is the most effective and amazing GABAergic. It can only be done once every few days, but optimally once a week max.
OTHERS
MDMA - MDMA is an empathogen, meaning it drastically increases feelings of love and empathy. It is somewhere between a stimulant and a psychedelic. In terms of low inhibition maxxing, MDMA is about as good as it gets. That said, it comes with major drawbacks. It works via drastically increasing serotonin, so using it more than once every few months can lead to serious mental health issues, including but not limited to serotonin syndrome, which can be life-threatening. This is a hard drug, so people will be able to tell you're on something. Not a problem in a club or bar environment, but you don't want to take this for your presentation at work.
DEXTROMETHORPHAN - DXM is somewhere between a psychedelic and a dissociative drug. It can be bought over the counter or on Amazon in the form of tablets. Effects include psychedelic-esque visuals, increased sociability at low doses, and increased music appreciation. Again, in low doses works great for sociability, but in higher doses people will be able to tell you're on something.
LSD - The cleanest psychedelic. Increases feelings of empathy, spirituality, and sociability for about 12 hours. Can only be taken every so often. Effective in low doses for increased sociability.
