Is lower eyelid retraction better than canthoplasty for my case? I have been thinking about canthoplasty for a long time and even asked about it several times on previous posts but idk if simply fixing my droopy eyelid might help my eye are more. And also fat grafting for the under eye area. I feel like my canthal tilt looks a bit negative sometimes so not sure what to do to atleast make it look like its positive. I pur more images for reference

Get infraorbital rim implants instead of canthoplasty. Canthoplasty is cope since you're artificially torqueing the lateral lid attachment to fake a tilt but w/o projection you'll look botched and the lid will sit unsupported above the sunken rim.

Infras rim implants can look uncanny though. Anything I could say to the doctor to make them seem more subtle but make a noticeable difference?

And what about fat grafting?

go custom PEEK with a CT-guided design that mirrors your contralateral orbital contour.
And what about fat grafting?
High resorption rate (temporary)

Thanks. How is recovery for implants in general? Anything different I should watch out for this one in particular? Also I have always wondered if I could use something like eplerenone for post surgery edema.

For 2 weeks, you'll be moon-faced, and it will take 3 months before the final contour. There is some risk of upper lip numbness if the PEEK isn't ideal for the infraorbital nerve. For recovery, eplerenone won't help with lymphatic fluid. That's mainly for the aldosterone volume.

3 months? Man I would kill myself. Anything I could take for edema to make the whole process shorter?

Oh and what about lower eye lid retraction? Would that help too? Or isnt needed if I get infras?

Yea, get the infra implants (fat grafting is ok also but unpredictable) and maybe also consider botox to the frontalis muscle to reduce upper eyelid exposure and/or upper eyelid filler

I thought about the botox thing but I might not get it. Idk why but I like the fact that my eyelids are a bit more visible. Dumb I know but I have gotten compliments on it too. But Yeah I will definitely look more into the implants and I think I will get fat grafting first and then do the infras just to see whats up. Also been thinking about rhino with tip reduction and chin plant but nothing crazy just to make it only very slightly projected. And a neck lift too

Fat grafting isn’t temporary by any means.

I’m going to make a thread asking about the best possible way to get the most fat and the longest longevity out of it, but it’s a permanent fix if your issue isn’t bone.
