Lower teeth not touching upper teeth how it should, is it fixable?

Had a first molar extracted some years ago, the second molar took it's place and the wisdom tooth took the place of the second molar. However, I used to chew with the other side for many years, will chewing with the weak one fix this? The teeth still touch, but not entirely

Isn't lower arch supposed to follow upper one? And besides, the orthodontist didn't fix the issue at all
