Lowkey Interstellar is the best movie out there. Here is why.

The dark knight is the only contender for best movie but all of the rest of the movies are just mid. Here is why. TDK was carried by heath best performance ever imo. And interstellar is not only good and unique storywise but the FEELING it gives u when u watch it is something OTHERWORDLY. Like holy shit. It never fails to disappoint when I rewatch it. It has some genuine moving moments that makes u hella depressed but also IDK just the feeling of in awe. Like what u are seeing is just something u havent seen before. The feeling it gives u of the mystique of the universe and the essence of time is just about life and the score amplifies this feeling very well and it also carries the shit out of the movie.

compare it to the profound and complex artistry of 2001 space odyssey where every scene is memorable and significant, or something even simpler like disney's the black hole. i don't remember single scene from interstellar outside of the first wormhole sequence and the spin maneuver. the entire film is filler outside of it.

the time dilation narrative device is fucking clumsy and unrealistic like the nigger that aged 20 years alone on the main ship.

Nah you are young if you actually think this. I saw interstellar the week it came out, completely packed out and it was very popular all over america/europe/ globally really. Nolan was already a household name at that time, the dark knight trilogy/inception coming out years earlier made it so any movie he released would be a massive success no matter what. Interstellar is one of those movies where you have to watch it on the big screen imax, it's truly a different experience, the soundtrack etc were amazing.
A film that was actually really fucking good in cinemas but not so popular the first few months it came out was Sicario, the first one. Nobody was talking about it until like 3-4 months later when word of mouth spread and people realized it was a great film. Again this was another film you had to watch in cinemas, the soundtrack/audio can only be truly received on the big screen with the big speakers. Blade runner 2049 was another one
Also don't say popular hollywood blockbuster x is the best movie of all time, none of them are. They're fun films but they are not even top 100. If you want to see a real 10/10 film watch Memories of Murder.
