Lowkey need advice

So I’ve been crushing on this girl for a while named Macie and a mutual friend of ours told me that I should text her. So I did and we had texted the convo was going good fast forward a couple days we are going to lunch I pretty much ask her on a date to get drinks from a local shop and we go and mind you we are in Highschool but when lunch starts my friend that is a boy calls while me and Macie are walking and he ask if I want to go to lunch and I tell him no I’m going with Macie then Macie says who is that, I tell her who it is then she says invite him and I just said oh I already hung up but the next two time we hangout she asks me to invite my friend which I find weird if I’m asking her on a date idk why she would ask me to bring my friend, and she also has more guy friends than I do. Should I drop her? Also I told my older sister about everything and she says that Macie seems weird and that I should drop her

from my perspective this seems like she doesn’t recognize that you want to go on a DATE (as in building a romantic relationship) and sees this more like a friends-thing so yeah dont pursue her.

Show her more, idk, like try to make her really see you. Seems like she doesnt like "your acompaniance" only. Lock in and make her actually fall for you.
