yo basically i been looking into the skyscraper/lsr stuff again and trying to figure out if there is any actual mechanical basis for it or if it’s just pure high-tier cope. im 18.2 sitting at a weak 5’10 (barely) after being promised 6’3 by my peds. growth velocity is basically dead (0.29 inches in 15 months) so im looking for a way to bypass plate senescence. the theory is that high impact (sprints/weighted jumps) creates microfractures and then using heavy resistance bands for tension during the remodeling phase forces longitudinal expansion instead of just thickening the cortical bone. basically trying to mimic a bootleg version of distraction osteogenesis without the osteotomy. same with the raised saddle bike method for stretching the ligaments/epiphyseal space. has anyone here actually ran this for 6+ months with documented stadiometer gains or is this just something guys with open plates do and then claim the "method" worked? is it physically possible to "stretch" the fibrocartilage in a risser 4/5 state or am i just gonna end up with tendonitis and a stress fracture? looking for high level input on the mechanotransduction side of this or if i should just stop the cope and save for the tibias.
