You can, you both need external stimuli and control of your own emotions and psyche. The reason why people think that, is due to people being selfish, loud and animalistic instead of taking things a fairer pace and thinking out their reactions to life.

No lust is huge sin bc it goes against God’s design for love and relationships. Instead of seeing someone as a whole person, lust turns them into something to use it comes from selfish desires not love. Jesus made it clear that sin doesnt start with actions alone but also with whats in our hearts. He said that even looking at someone with lust is like committing adultery in your heart in Matthew 5:28. Lust pulls us away from purity, respect and actual love.
