I stopped feeling in April this year after a series of L’s in a row, since the mind makes you numb as a protective mechanism from rope.

The lack of emotion displayed by Saddam when he was about to get roped after getting captured always stuck with me, since I couldn’t understand how anyone could stay so calm in such situation.

But many years later, it because obvious to me that every man that ever got in a position of power had to become numb at some point in their life.

Each time they felt a negative emotion, they chose to sit with it rather than escape it.

The act of sitting with pain is a pre-requisite to every form of “success”.

The mind becomes more numb each time you sit with an emotion, then eventually, you wake up one day and realise you have become unfazed.
