Heartland is just very hard to conquer for invaders
History proves it with Napoleon and Hitler

However, It doesn't mean whoever occupies it can easily conquer everything on the supercontinent
Though they should apply military pressure like Putin before the war on Ukraine to secure good deals and expand if possible
Natural position geopolitically to have regional hegemony

Before every single civ had round maps
And they often looked very simillar to each other

What they show us is likely a warped image of a part of the crater with antarctica being purposefuly shrunken and misplaced
