The EU elections and polling showed that the Far-right party was positioned to win the majority and form a government.

The next parliamentary elections were slated for 2027 together with presidential elections. So the fear was that the Far-right would parade on this win and claim legitimacy giving them a sweep for both elections.

Macron called bullshit on this with the idea, that people voted for them as a protest vote, but don't actually want them to run the country. Which turned out to be correct.

When push came to shove the voters and other parties showed this to be the correct assumption. With the Far-right RN coming out third in seats with both the left coalition and Macron's party ahead.

In this point of view it was a win as it squashed the idea the RN has a legitimate support to be the government of France.

But whether it actually worked out will be seen by the ability of this pretty much deadlock parliament being able to form government.

If the two big blocks fail to compromise and form a government this could still be a huge boon for the RN's presidential campaign in 2027.

Over for France. The highest percentage of Blacks in Europe. Some of the most liberal people even in more conservative times. The birthplace of the Revolution influenced by the Enlightenment that shifted the world to a more degenerate and less traditional place. Not sure if I hate the French or Anglos more.

France is fucked anyways, way to many sandniggers and now niggers even, who don't consider themselves french and never will. Add to that the degenerated alienation that islam is, and a bunch of leftist fucks who never left their rich parisian neighborhoods, who think that all humans are equal and they must show the world how we should all live, and you quickly understand. There's no hope, i think it's the same for germany and uk btw, pretty sure these stupid fucks will all get replaced in a few generations and won't even bat an eye.

France has never been based
We are the king of the cucks
Can’t get tired of Arabs killing teachers that is so cool

People think voting left will mean more money to them, plot twist the rich don’t pay taxes, never have and never will, only workers aka slaves pay, you can’t get rich with a salary in France (50%+ earn 24k a year lmao), and now they will pay even more

TLDR : FRENCH ARE NOT SOCIALIST OR COMMUNIST OR WHATEVER, THEY VOTE LEFT BECAUSE THEY ARE RETARDED BROKIES (without counting all the immigrants)

Historically, far-right parties in France have struggled to translate strong showings in the first round into overall victories. This pattern also persisted in the recent elections, where the RN failed to secure a majority despite a strong initial performance.

France also has a two-round electoral system ehich favors coalitions and compromises. Even if the RN secures a significant percentage of the vote in the first round, in most cases the second round often sees other parties and voters uniting to prevent a far-right victory. This coalition-building among opposition is the main reason for their loss imo. Also according to surveys and opinion polls often show a strong resistance to far-right governance too. Realistically nothing is going to happen tbh even with all thr chaos and unrest.

UK : one third of popular vote, forms government with landslide seats

France : 10 million votes (plurality) , third most number of seats

What the heck?

The UK follows the FPTP system and france a Two-Round System. Look it up.

I get the FPTP system and how it's fucked up. My country uses it too.

But I'm kinda surprised the French have lopsided and disproportionate results.
How are the JeanLuc guys ahead with 7 million votes while Bardella is in third with 10 million?

I'm aware they use a 2 round system ... I assumed that said system fixed all the flaws and loopies that FPTP has. Guess I'm wrong.
