hi. writing this on a burner acct because i want to warn others here!

shaking as i write this, but here goes.

so i’m an upcoming sophomore who commutes

i was on tinder, where i have my school listed.

i met a guy who was really cute and we seemed to hit it off well. the account was also verified so i didn’t think anything of it. he said he went to uh too and that he was an engineering major like me

we decided to meet up at a local restaurant today. again it was in public and he was verified so i thought there wouldn’t be any issues.
i get there a little early because i’m an anxious person and i get a booth for us. i’m sitting there for about 15 minutes, until I notice a really agitated looking asian man walking toward me. when he arrives at my booth, he says “is this seat taken?” with a smug smile on his face and sits down. i’m a little shocked and i try to explain that i’m waiting for someone, but he says “No you aren’t. Chad won’t be coming. I catfished you”

He says “You actually thought some tall white dude would want a noodlewh\*re like you?”(my date was supposed to be a white guy and im an asian girl). he gets even more agitated as he talks about it and starts calling me a “race betrayer” and says that i “deserve far worse”. i’m too petrified to do anything because there’s a potentially dangerous man sitting right across from me, so i just sit there as he continues to berate me and talks about how “women ruin society” among other things.
he then called himself the “houston incel” and said he was going to make all women regret “the way they treated” him(wtf)?

i was going to report his account but after he left his account was deleted, so i came here to warn about him.

please please PLEASE be careful with people you meet on dating apps and always facetime before you meet. i wish i had before i met this creep because i feel completely unsafe now. i wish men didn’t do things like this
