MMA rules say that damage > all other moves. Volk did more damage easily, especially alter in the fight. Look at pics of their faces after the fight. All of Makhachev's submission attempts failed.

That fight was either 49-46 Islam or 48-47 Islam.
Volk fought an amazing fight. He did better than any lightweight has to this point during Islam's current run. It was an exceptional performance. His stock is way up. But he lost.

Cope. Look up the total strikes in different rounds. Laying on top of someone or hugging them does not win fights but MMA rules.
