Making dream trip of going to Thailand this may

Wil be going with a very good mate of mine 2 weeks thailand. we'll stay at bangkok for 2 days and then take a plane south where we'll enjoy sun sea and beach. Has anyone gone before that knows good places for activities? we'd love to kayak, dive, swim, explore etc. nature stuff
