making friends feels impossible

i wanna prefice by saying its not actually hard for me to connect with people and create relationships. i dont know if its just me but like 99% of people that i interact with/ have to interact with are massive weirdos and i could never see myself being friends with them, but they just keep trying to become friends with me/ connect with me, and im not gonna just tell them to fuck off, so i just go along with whatever bullshit they talk. before you ask no i dont go to school im 21 years old, and i do have a solid 10-15 people that i would call friends and im actually close with, but generally most of the people i come into contact with, mostly at work and social spaces, i want nothing to do with and wished they didnt try so hard to 'befriend' me. this also creates an unideal social life because like half of my friends live far away so going out to parties etc is a rare occasion. idk if its just me, and sometimes it feels like i would be better off just being friends with people i dont like so that i have more fun shit to do. anyone else have this problem?

Same here. Most of my actual friends are from 1-8th grade and every single one from highschool is a retard I wish I didn’t have to come in contact with. I still have to go along so I’m not a social reject and lose out on social skills or possible friends that I actually like

imo just be friends with the people you dont like and hope that through them you meet interesting people

ive been trying to figure that one out haha, brutal reality. ive just always hated being fake though like, if i fuck with you then ill show it if i dont ill show it u know what i mean, maybe its the wrong mentality after all
