I haven’t heard anyone who says “IQ is everything when it comes to making money” ever back up why IQ is everything when it comes to making money?

It impacts what fields you have the ability so work in (eg. your average joe with 100 IQ isn’t going to become a neurosurgeon)

But if that same average Joe had good connections, he could likely get involved in some high earning business related position for example

Most people who claim IQ is everything either fell for TAILS propaganda or have nothing else but IQ going for them (and chances are they aren’t even that high iq, and just think they are cause a buzzfeed test said so)

Living with parents maxing helps a lot if you’re trying to ramp up capital in your first few years working (so does FUCKING INHERITANCE) hence social class.

And even if you want to live with your parents, they need to have some level of income/social class to support it

Many parents in lower/middle classes force their kids out or make them pay rent

Meanwhile many in upper middle/upper class households may just help pay for their kid’s living expenses for a while until they can support themselves (luckily was born into this situation)

I heard about that story as well and I'm sure he is smart but rejecting that 1 mil is just so stupid.

You can use that money to live a healthier lifestyle and live a longer life so you could have more time for math, or you could use that for math research tools and stuff like that, I really don't understand why he rejected all that money.

bro it's not that simple. having a high iq can help you solve problems faster, but money doesn't magically fall into your lap. wealth comes from skills, work ethic, timing and sometimes even luck. even the smartest dudes still had to grind, take risks and build networks. sitting around waiting for "money to come from alone" is just cope.
