Malar fat pad?

I had 2 more consultations with plastic surgeons for cheek implants and both recommended facial liposuction for my malar fat pad as my cheek bones are covered by it. I thought this can’t be done and is highly bad in terms of results as there is more then just fat. What’s the general consensus on this? I’d like to do it, but considering even dr eppley is kind of hesitant on this and he’s dr Frankenstein it worries me.

would only do this if you have subhuman tier nasolabial folds due to sagging fat but I don't think it would do anything for your zygos tbh

That’s what I was thinking too. When they told me that I was shocked as it’s a big no no normally. Below is what it looks like. When I get bloated it looks worse.. but my main surgeon told me augmenting the cheek bone would essentially get rid of this as it acts as a building block for the sagging fat.

your cheeks do look kinda bloated but even if you had fat removed there you'd still need more zygo projection imo

I actually did talk to him and he agreed with me when I asked about zygo implants. I how ever never asked him about facial liposuction. My first surgeon showed me some implants and I’m going on this week to talk to him and maybe get a ct scan if the ones he can “alter” dont aesthetically fit my cheek bone.

I think you should focus on your cheeks. If you had your buccal fat removed then if you still felt the need to get zygo implants so be it

The doctor told me buccal fat removal only contours the bottom of the cheeks. It will not make the top hollow. The area I’m worried about in picture. I think zygo implants are the only real solution. Shitty cause it’s so easy to fuck up. My doctor going to be a moderator on this site after I’m done with him lmao

So I had liposuction which got rid of excess fat, but came to the conclusion that my submental muscles are still cucking me. When I stand up straight, it looks something like this: Now when I lean forward (ie while sitting down) or twist my neck a bit (not even much of either, just slightly...

Hi surgerymax, they say my skin is very elastic(very stretchy)and has a good amount of fat on it. It’s not significant but they say this alone might make my cheek bones more appealing. They say facial lipo is less invasive then custom zygo implants which is why they rather do that. But I don’t see it being that significant?

Whatvis your bodyfat % ? Have you tried leaning down naturally?

so is this a revision case for lipo or am I better of with more drastic measures like platysmaplasty? what do you think about removing subplatysmal fat? my surgeon originally brought that up but also said standard lipo would be good enough.

I know I brought this topic up like 5 times already but I just don't really know how to proceed with this lol.

This is my current physique. I’m around 12-13% give or take. I’ve never been sub 10%. I’m thinking the implant should be more then enough? I rather not do facial lipo but if it’s legit I’ll do it.
