I know there are women who are really into masculine men. I am just stating the fact that women are generally into different types of men, and that masculinity (the way men perceive it, at least) isn't the sole or main indicator of male attractiveness, as paradoxical as it may sound.

Still, men think women find that kind of look attractive because they want them to. We think it's cool to look like that and that it makes sense to strive to be as strong as intimidating as you can. And since we like femininity in women (and dislike masculinity), it also makes sense that the exact same dynamic would happen for women - yet we see feminine looking men being quite popular.

That's because many traits perceived as masculine are not beneficial to male attractiveness, while many traits perceived as feminine ((by our male-dominated societal framework) are... not feminine per se at all, they're just beautiful (and thus indicators of high genetic quality, youth, fertility).
